About Us

Rachel Saunders and Rachael Franklin, Chartered MCIPD opened The People Shed in July 2016 to specialise in HR and Employment Law for the franchise industry and SME’s.

They did not want to provide clients with templates and guidance, they wanted to work shoulder to shoulder with business owners to act as their HR Manager, offering a hands-on, friendly and professional solution when it’s needed it at a fraction of the cost.

Although they share the same name, they are easily identified by their very different accents. Rachel Saunders, born and bred in Newcastle Upon Tyne, is a true Geordie lass, while Rachael Franklin, now living in Bolton, grew up in Wolverhampton.

They are not afraid of hard work but equally like to live life to the full. From running the London Marathon in 2011 to their annual trip to the 80’s Rewind festival. Oh, and not forgetting Gin, they both love a good Gin!
