Employment legislation impacts on all employers equally, irrespective of their size or headcount. For every employer the requirement for regulatory compliance and its increasing complexity places a real burden on their administrative and management resources not to mention risk. Keeping up with constantly changing employment legislation has become a real challenge to every employer.

The People Shed is a new company formed in 2016 by Rachael Franklin and Rachel Saunders, together they both have a wealth of experience in HR and Organisational Development across a number of retail businesses

Our Shedders

Rachel Saunders

Has plenty of practical, front line HR and Organisational Development experience. She was the National Training Manager at Cash Converters and prior to that she held an Executive leadership and coaching role with Blue Training which helped build on her skills already gained from her many years spent managing large blueprint retailers.

Whether it’s help with day-to-day business management or implementing critical projects to stabilise and grow your business, Rachel offers tailored solutions that meet your needs.

Rachael Franklin

Has extensive knowledge and expertise in HR, working for over 30 years in a range of Retail Operations and HR positions. Prior to founding the People Shed, she was the Executive Head of HR and Development for Cash Converters UK, in the past she has held several HRD positions within the Retail Sector.

Experience spans from generalist advice to developing and implementing a HR strategy that supports the needs of the business, along with leading on large scale TUPE and redundancy projects.

It’s unavoidable that rules and regulations will remain at the core of what she does, but her methods of implementation will challenge the status quo rather than just be a guardian of it. A down to earth, collaborative, credible influencer with the ability to analyse information quickly and use it to make robust decisions.
